A brief history of the Milwaukee Road route from Minneapolis to the Missouri River:

06/26/21

Located between Milan and Appleton, this simple girder bridge crosses US Highway 59 and Minnesota Highway 7.
Built in 1936, this bridge is a standardized design used in Minnesota for grade separations. The bridge features a single deck girder span, set onto concrete abutments.
Unlike many bridges, this structure does have some decorative features, including attractive fencing and abutments with decorative engravings.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition. Some minor deterioration and damage from truck strikes was noted.

The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
